I would always recommend going with a group of people. Bring a friend at the minimum even as a passenger who can help spot & navigate the map and share the experience of the park. (And don’t let technical difficulties with gear ruin your day!) If you do come before/after/during rain, the sandstone does turn into a mushy play-dough consistency that builds up in your wheel wells so choose your days wisely and be prepared!īe careful with camera gear on the trails – it gets severely dusty/muddy depending on the weather and while you’re out on the trails your number one focus should be on having fun and focusing on the trail. If it is your first time out as well, I can’t recommend it enough to have an experienced driver lead the way – it can be easy to get lost as trail markers can be down/hidden/easy to miss if they’ve recently re-groomed. I was honestly blissfully unaware of any direction or where we were, and this was great since I was just getting used to my new Jeep and able to have fun and follow around with experienced drivers. Exploring Hidden Fallsīeing my first time out, I appreciated that I drove with a group aware of the park.
My advice is if you don’t know or don’t have a group to ride with, ask the friendly people at check-in what they recommend and stick to it. Great experience, excellent staff, wish I were closer.The park map is detailed enough for most to get around and the star rating is pretty spot on for trail difficulties. Everyone we ran into was friendly and there were no speed merchants playing up our ahhs but we waved a twosome thru, just like you ought to whenever you know they’re faster than your threesome. If I were going to wish anything it would be putting up some red hazard flags around the edges of a couple we couldn’t see, but gosh tje whole round was fun. There’s local knowledge on it with some hidden water collection areas. Very smooth surface, and consistent speed everywhere. Big greens with a lot of nuance to navigate but fun. The fairways still coming in but greens were perfect. Like, I’ll go play it again just to use that area. Nice new range balls, big teeing area and REAL turf yo hit off of, and a cool 75 yard pitching green. The practice area is 5* all the way around.

First off, I’d never played it but I liked it immediately when I went into the shop and had friendly banter with three different people, the Head Golf Professional being one.
